Contactless card from Metro Bank

Metro Bank won't give me a contactless card so I want to cut the wires.  Presumably the loops around the chip are to pick up power but there seems to be something coming out to the right.  Is that the rfid chip to the right of the main chip?

I am thinking that if I cut through the card across the wireless logo, I should be able to disable it.  But I must buy something first to do a before and after test.

did you find out where the wires run? I've had a Coop Bank contactless arrive today and want to disable it too.

I haven't done it yet. But because of their intransigence and refusal to provide a secure card, I just use this account to get currency when abroad - I don't normally carry it around with me. It's a bit of an own goal for the bank.

Be careful, the co-op card might be a different design.
